After breakfast, depart Tirana and travel toward the historic city of Berat. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of this UNESCO-listed town, known as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” where you will explore its charming streets and historic landmarks. Following the tour, enjoy a traditional lunch in Berat before continuing the journey south to the coastal city of Vlorë, where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian Sea. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy some free time to relax or take a stroll along the seaside promenade. Today you will want to wear comfortable walking shoes.

  The guided walking tour of Berat, known as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” will immerse you in its historic charm and UNESCO-listed heritage. Explore the cobblestone streets, Ottoman-era houses, and iconic hilltop Berat Castle (entrance included), which offers panoramic views of the city and the Osum River. The tour also highlights local churches, mosques, and traditional architecture, providing a rich insight into Berat’s cultural and historical significance. You will walk approximately 2-3 miles on cobblestone streets.

Today is dedicated to discovering the natural beauty of the Albanian Riviera from the sea. Board a boat and cruise along the stunning coastline of the Karaburun Peninsula, known for its dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters. Continue to the legendary Haxhi Ali Cave, accessible only by boat, before heading to Sazan Island, Albania’s largest island, rich in history and untouched landscapes. Enjoy time for swimming and relaxation during the excursion before returning to Vlorë in the afternoon. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the seaside atmosphere. Today you will want to wear your swimsuit and watershoes/sandals, and bring a towel, a change of clothes, and cash (to purchase lunch).

• Full Day Boat Excursion

  On today’s private boat excursion you’ll explore the stunning coastline of the Karaburun Peninsula, known for its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and crystal-clear waters. The trip includes a visit to the impressive Haxhi Ali Cave, a large sea cave steeped in pirate legends and accessible only by boat. Travelers will also stop at Sazan Island, Albania’s largest island, where they can relax, swim, and discover its unique mix of untouched nature and historical remnants. The boat used will be 9-11 meters with a capacity of 23-25 people. Lifejackets and snorkeling equipment included.

After breakfast, depart Vlorë and enjoy a scenic drive along the Llogara National Park, taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains and the Ionian coastline. There will be opportunities for photo stops along the route to capture the dramatic landscapes. Continue the drive south along the coastal road, arriving in Himarë, where the day concludes with free time to relax or explore the seaside town at your leisure.

• Transfer from Vlorë to Himare

  The journey from Vlorë to Himarë follows one of the most spectacular coastal routes in Albania, passing through the breathtaking Llogara National Park. The road climbs high into the mountains before descending toward the Ionian coastline, offering panoramic views of turquoise waters, dramatic cliffs, and lush forests of pine and cedar. Along the way, the group will make several scenic photo stops to admire the landscapes and capture views of the Albanian Riviera from above. The drive typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic and the number of stops along the route.

Take to the outdoors today! After breakfast, transfer to the starting point of your trail and hike along the coast to Livadhi Beach and Jale Beach. After reaching Jale Beach, take a quick dip and then transfer back to the hotel for a brief break and time for lunch. Then in the early afternoon, transfer to the coast to take to the water in kayaks. After kayaking, you’ll transfer back to the hotel with the evening at your leisure. For the hike today you’ll want to wear (or bring) your swimsuit, comfortable hiking/walking/athletic shoes for the hike, and bring sunscreen, a hat, a towel and water. • Hike from Livadhi to Jale Beach

  Take a 20 minute transfer to the trailhead. Then start your scenic coastal hike from Livadhi Beach to Jale Beach following a beautiful trail along the Albanian Riviera, offering breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. As you walk along the coastline, you’ll pass rocky cliffs, hidden coves, and Mediterranean vegetation while enjoying panoramic views of the turquoise waters below. The hike is moderately easy and provides several scenic spots perfect for short breaks, photos, or simply taking in the peaceful natural surroundings before arriving at Jale Beach for a relaxing break by the sea. • Kayaking the Ionian Sea

  Hop on board a kayak and with your guide, paddle along the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, exploring the stunning coastline at a relaxed pace. You will navigate hidden coves, small beaches, and rocky inlets, enjoying close-up views of the cliffs and marine life. It’s both a gentle workout and a chance to connect with nature, offering a peaceful way to admire the scenic beauty of the Albanian Riviera from the water. Life jackets are included. Please note that there is a kayak weight limit of 220 lbs.

This day is a leisure day in Himarë, giving you the freedom to fully unwind and enjoy the charm of this coastal town. It’s a perfect day to soak in the sun, take in the stunning coastal scenery, and simply enjoy the relaxed pace of life in Himarë.

After breakfast, depart Himarë and travel back to Tirana, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, embark on a guided walking tour of the city, visiting key landmarks such as Skanderbeg Square, the Et’hem Bey Mosque, and other sites that showcase Tirana’s unique mix of history, culture, and modern architecture. After the tour, enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace or do a bit of last-minute shopping. The day concludes with a farewell dinner, celebrating your journey through Albania and sharing memories from the trip.

  After breakfast, the group will depart Himarë and begin the journey back to Tirana, traveling along the scenic Albanian Riviera before continuing inland toward the capital. The drive offers views of the Ionian coastline, small seaside villages, and the mountainous landscapes of southern Albania. The transfer typically takes around 4 - 5 hours, including a stop near Vlore where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase lunch. Other scenic stops or rest breaks will be made along the way.
