Connect with the local culture through food by sampling local specialties along the way. After your walking tour, you’ll have some free time to enjoy lunch on your own before heading to the Tunnel of Hope Museum to learn more about the history of Sarajevo during the war. In the afternoon, you’ll return to your hotel with the evening at your leisure. Today we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
- Sarajevo City and Food TourDiscover Sarajevo’s rich history on a guided walking tour through Baščaršija, the Ottoman Old Town. Stroll past landmarks such as the elegant Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, the Old Orthodox Church, the iconic Sebilj fountain, and the Latin Bridge. Along the way, you’ll make around 3 stops at local shops or stalls to sample artisanal specialties such as local cheeses, charcuterie, and/or baklava. The stops you make and local bites you will try will vary and are subject to change.09:00· 150 min· Sarajevo
- Visit Tunnel of HopeAfter lunch, you’ll regroup and take a 30-minute private transfer to the Tunnel of Hope Museum, a powerful testament to Sarajevo’s resilience. During the Siege of Sarajevo from 1993 to 1996, the city was completely cut off from the outside world, unable to receive humanitarian aid. In response, the Bosnian Army secretly dug an underground tunnel by hand beneath the airport runway, allowing essential supplies like food, water, and fuel to reach the city during the war. For panoramic views, take an optional cable car ride (at an additional cost) to Mount Trebević, with a short walk to the atmospheric abandoned Olympic bobsleigh track. Then, transfer back to your hotel with the evening at your leisure.13:00· 90 min

Towns Along the Neretva River

- Konjic Visit and Burek TastingWith your guide, you’ll take a short walk through this beautiful town situated in a valley on the Neretva River surrounded by green forests and tall mountains. You’ll be able to sample different flavors depending on the availability of the day, including meat, cheese, and spinach.11:30· 60 min
- Jablanica VisitContinue to Jablanica, where your guide will lead you on a short walk through the town. The town, also nestled along the Neretva River, is known for its lush greenery and surrounding views of the Dinaric Alps. One of Jablanica’s most iconic features is the historic Jablanica Bridge, which played a key role during World War II. The original bridge was the site of a famous partisan sabotage operation in 1943, which destroyed it to hinder Axis forces—a story that has become a symbol of bravery and resistance. Today, the bridge is partially reconstructed and serves as both a historical monument and a scenic spot for visitors, offering striking views of the Neretva River below. Common questions
How does this work?
You start the trip and pick possible dates. Friends commit by putting a card on file — $0 charged today. Once 8 friends commit and ops confirms, the trip locks in and we capture a 25% deposit. If we don't hit 8 in time, every hold is released and nothing happens.
When am I actually charged?
Only if the trip locks in (8 friends commit) AND TrovaTrip ops confirms the booking. Until then your card is just authorized — no money moves. At lock-in we capture a 25% deposit; the remainder is due ~60 days before departure, same as any TrovaTrip trip.
What if we don’t get enough friends to commit?
If we don’t hit 8 commitments before the window closes, every hold is released automatically. $0 charged, the trip just doesn’t happen.
Can I cancel after I commit?
Yes — anytime before lock-in your hold is released, no questions asked. After lock-in (and once the deposit is captured), standard TrovaTrip cancellation policy applies based on how close to departure you are.
Does the price change as more friends join?
On trips with group discounts, yes — the more friends commit, the lower everyone's price. The final price is set at lock-in based on the size of the group at that moment. Everyone pays the same.
What if I want different dates than the group?
When you commit you pick which of the proposed dates work for you. If the group lands on a date you can't do, your hold is released and you're under no obligation.
Who's actually running the trip?
TrovaTrip handles all the logistics — flights, hotels, guides, on-the-ground operator (Palma Travel DMC for this one). We've run thousands of group trips across 80+ countries. Once your group locks in, our ops team takes over and you get a real human point of contact.
Do I need a TrovaTrip account?
To start a trip, yes — that's how we know who to coordinate with. To commit as a friend you can do it as a guest (just email + card), or sign up — whichever's easier.
