Journey through the Dalmatian Pearls

Dobrodošli and Welcome to Croatia! Please be prepared to meet in the lobby at 5:30 P.M. to depart for your welcome dinner. The dinner reservation time will be finalized closer to your trip date. If you plan on arriving today, we recommend flying into Split Airport (SPU).

Today you will have the morning to explore the city of Split. After breakfast you will head out with your tour leader on a guided walk. At the end of the tour you will have free time to explore, shop, have lunch at a local restaurant on your own or walk along the Riva promenade. In the late afternoon you will meet at the hotel where you will be transferred to the port for your ferry to Hvar Island. After arriving in Hvar you will walk to your new accommodations and have the rest of the afternoon on your own. For today please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and to pack a hat, sunscreen and water.

• Split City Tour

  In the morning you'll meet in the hotel lobby for a captivating walking tour of Split, exploring its renowned landmarks. Delve into the historic Diocletian’s Palace, an impressive testament to Roman architecture. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll wander through the old town, covering approximately 3 miles in total. Admission to Diocletian's Palace is included. You will have free time at the end of the tour to explore the city on your own.

• Transfer · Split → Hvar

  From the hotel you will be transferred 5 minutes to the public ferry dock. You will board the boat with your luggage, find a seat and settle in for the ride to Hvar. Once on the ship, there are bathrooms and a snack bar where you can purchase drinks and snacks. When you arrive in Hvar you will walk 15 minutes with your luggage to your new accommodations.

Start your day with breakfast before embarking on a guided walking tour of Hvar old town, delving into its rich history. Following the tour, participate in an afternoon cooking class where you'll learn to craft traditional Dalmatian dishes, enjoying a late lunch afterwards. With your appetite satisfied, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your leisure. Whether relaxing on the beach or wandering through local markets, soak in the charm of this enchanting island at your own pace. For today's city tour do not forget to wear comfortable walking shoes and pack a hat, sunscreen and water.

• Guided Tour of Hvar

  Set off on a guided exploration of Hvar Old Town, starting directly from your hotel. Led by a local guide, delve into hidden gems and iconic landmarks like the Franciscan Monastery and the Arsenal Building. This immersive tour covers approximately 2-2.5 miles, inviting you to discover the rich history and culture of this enchanting destination.

• Cooking Class

  You will take a 40 minute transfer to the cooking class. Immerse yourself in the flavors of the Mediterranean as you learn to harness the power of aromatic herbs and savor the richness of olive oil. Under the guidance of an experienced chef, you'll master the art of preparing traditional dishes such as the renowned fish stew Gregada, brimming with local flavors and heritage. Afterward, treat yourself to the sweetness of seasonal local desserts, completing a journey of taste that celebrates the essence of Croatian cuisine. Once the meal is complete you will enjoy the fruits of your labor. After, you will be transferred back to your hotel for the remainder of the day.

After breakfast enjoy the day and soak up the sun around the island. Grab your bike and spend the day cycling along the coast, stopping at all the beautiful beaches. You will have the time to jump in the crystalline sea and cycle through charming landscapes and get to know some lesser known parts of the island. You can stop for lunch at a local restaurant or have a picnic on the beach (not included). Your group will collectively decide what you all prefer. When you arrive back at the hotel you will have the remainder of the day on your own. Today, don't forget to wear your bathing suits and pack a towel, sunscreen and a hat.

• Cycling Tour

  Grab your bike and helmet and set out for the day cycling along the coast. You will spend the day hopping from beach to beach, enjoying the sun and the water. Do not forget to pack water, snacks and cash. This tour is beginner friendly with little elevation gain and depending on the pace of the group you will cover roughly 3-5 miles. There is also the option of upgrading to an e-bike that can be paid for directly on the day of. For lunch you can stop at a local restaurant along the way or pick up food to have a picnic on the beach as group.

On your last day in Hvar you will have some free time to explore more of the island on your own. At a predetermined time you will meet at the hotel and walk to the dock for your ferry to Dubrovnik. After arriving you will be transferred to your new hotel and have the rest of the night on your own.

• Transfer · Hvar → Dubrovnik

  With your luggage you will walk 15 minutes to the public dock to board the ferry to Dubrovnik. There is a snack bar and bathrooms on board. The ferry takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival in Dubrovnik you will be transferred 5 minutes in a private coach to your new accommodations.

After breakfast discover the Dubrovnik Old town, with its paved streets and enjoy the scenic views from the city walls. In the afternoon enjoy some free time to grab lunch on your own. For your farewell dinner you will be transferred to the rural land of Konavle, where you’ll enjoy a unique dinner experience along with local, traditional music. For today's city tour do not forget to wear comfortable walking shoes and pack a hat, sunscreen and water.

• Guided Tour of Dubrovnik

  From your hotel, join your tour leader to uncover the wonders of Dubrovnik Old Town. Navigate its historic cobblestone streets, steeped in tales of the past, and soak in the panoramic vistas from the city walls. As you traverse this UNESCO World Heritage site, encounter iconic landmarks such as the grand Rector's Palace, the elegant Sponza Palace, and the timeless Onofrio's Fountain. Immerse yourself in the allure of Dubrovnik as you explore its hidden gems and unravel centuries of history. You will be walking roughly 3-3.5 miles today. Once you complete the tour you will have the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure to shop, explore, eat or sunbathe.

All good things must come to an end, but only until your next adventure! Enjoy a final breakfast and then make your own way onward. If departing directly from the hotel, we recommend flying out of Dubrovnik Airport (DBV).
