You’ll be hitting the ground running on your first full day in India. After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be picked up for a private transfer to the iconic Jama Masjid, where you can marvel at its grandeur and learn about its rich history. Next, take a short walk over to the Sheeshganj Gurudwara Sikh Temple, learning more about the Sikh religion and soaking in the spirituality and significance of this revered site. After enjoying a simple vegetarian lunch at the temple's community kitchen, you’ll hop on a short rickshaw ride to the vibrant Khari Baoli Spice Market, immersing in its bustling atmosphere and rich aromas. Following some free time to wander the market's narrow lanes, embark on a private transfer to New Delhi Railway Station, where you’ll board a train for a scenic journey to Ranthambore. The day concludes with dinner at the hotel. For today’s activities, wear comfortable walking shoes as well as recommend packing a small day pack for items you want easily accessible on the train.

• Jama Masjid Visit

  After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from the hotel for a 30 minute private transfer to Jama Masjid, your first stop of the Old Delhi walking and rickshaw tour. Your guide will take you through Jama Masjid, one of the largest and most renowned mosques in the country. Constructed in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it showcases magnificent Mughal architecture with intricate marble domes and towering minarets. Its vast courtyard can accommodate thousands of worshippers during prayers, making it a significant religious and cultural landmark in India.

• Sheeshganj Gurudwara Sikh Temple

  Then you’ll walk 10 minutes over to Sheeshganj Gurudwara Sikh Temple, a revered Sikh temple situated in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. It holds historical significance as the site where Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, was martyred in 1675. The Gurudwara stands as a symbol of Sikh valor and resistance against religious persecution during the Mughal era. Its architecture blends traditional Sikh design elements with intricate craftsmanship, attracting devotees and visitors to experience its spiritual ambiance and rich cultural heritage.

• Khari Baoli Spice Market

  After lunch, you’ll hop on the back of a motor rickshaw for a 10 minute ride over to Khari Baoli Spice Market, one of the largest and oldest spice markets in Asia. Dating back to the 17th century, it boasts a vibrant atmosphere filled with the aroma of various spices, herbs, nuts, and dried fruits. Merchants from all over India gather here to trade an extensive array of spices, making it a bustling hub of commerce and cultural exchange. Your guide will take you around the market and then climb the rooftop of the market to have the aerial view of Old Delhi. You’ll then have some free time to explore the narrow lanes lined with shops on your own.

In the early morning, you’ll be picked up by the open air canter for a short transfer into Ranthambore National Park for your morning safari. Situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, this renowned national park is famed for its population of majestic Bengal tigers, but keep your eyes peeled for numerous other species such as: leopards, striped Hyenas, sambar deer, and so much more. You’ll then head back to the hotel for a buffet lunch and some quick downtime before heading back out in the afternoon for a second safari in order to increase your chances of seeing more wildlife. Note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. It is recommended to bring binoculars and to wear close toed shoes, light long pants and long sleeve shirts, a windbreaker, and a dust guard.

• Morning Safari in Ranthambore National Park

  In the early morning, you’ll be picked up by the canter vehicle (open air, covered bus) for a 15 minute transfer into Ranthambore National Park for the morning safari. Spanning 1,334 square kilometers, this park, once the hunting grounds of the Maharaja, holds a rich history and diverse wildlife. Situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, this renowned national park is famed for its population of majestic Bengal tigers, but keep your eyes peeled for numerous other species such as: leopards, striped Hyenas, sambar deer, chital, nilgai, common or hanuman langurs, macaques, jackals, caracals, sloth bears, black bucks, rufous tailed hares, Indian wild boars, etc. Note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

• Afternoon Safari in Ranthambore National Park

  After lunch and a little bit of down time, you’ll head back on the canter for another safari in Ranthambore National Park for another opportunity to see some more wildlife! Keep your eyes peeled for Bengal tigers, leopards, striped Hyenas, sambar deer, chital, nilgai, common or hanuman langurs, macaques, jackals, caracals, sloth bears, black bucks, rufous tailed hares, Indian wild boars, etc. Note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

After breakfast, you’ll hop on a one-hour transfer to Palighat, the gateway to the Chambal River, where you’ll board a boat to start the Chambal River Safari. Drifting along the serene waters of the river, you're immersed in the pristine beauty of one of India's most biodiverse ecosystems. Expert guides offer insights into the region's rich wildlife. Keep your eyes open for potential sightings of the critically endangered Gharial crocodile and the elusive Gangetic river dolphin. As the safari progresses, you may also spot marsh crocodiles, diverse bird species, and perhaps even elusive freshwater turtles. Following the safari, a private transfer takes you back to the hotel in Ranthambore for a well-deserved lunch. Then you’ll take a short transfer to the train station to board the hour-long train journey to Bharatpur. Note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. • Chambal River Safari

  Once you arrive in Palighat, you’ll board a boat to embark on a Chambal River Safari through one of India's most pristine and biodiverse river ecosystems. The Chambal River, flowing through the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, offers sanctuary to a wide array of wildlife, including critically endangered species such as the Gharial crocodile and the Gangetic river dolphin. As you glide along its tranquil waters, accompanied by expert guides, be prepared to encounter other fascinating inhabitants such as marsh crocodiles, various species of birds, and perhaps even elusive freshwater turtles. This safari provides a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the natural beauty and rich biodiversity of the Chambal River basin.   After lunch and a little bit of downtime, you’ll head back out on the e-rickshaw for another safari through Keoladeo National Park for more chances to explore and discover the diverse avifauna and wildlife, including painted storks, basking pythons, deer, and nilgai, making it a must-visit sanctuary. Note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. After the safari you will walk 10 minutes back to the hotel for dinner.

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel before heading on a private transfer to Agra. Upon arrival, the journey continues with a visit to the majestic Agra Fort. Built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, the fort's imposing red sandstone walls enclose a complex of palaces, mosques, and gardens, including the iconic Jahangir Palace. Following the fort visit, you’ll take a short transfer to the hotel for check in and have time for lunch at your own expense. • Agra Fort

  From Bharatpur you’ll head directly to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its architectural marvel steeped in history and grandeur. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565, it served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Built primarily with red sandstone, the fort's imposing walls stretch for over 2.5 kilometers, enclosing a sprawling complex of palaces, mosques, gardens, and halls. One of its most iconic structures is the Jahangir Palace, known for its intricate stone carvings and elegant architecture. Today, Agra Fort stands as a testament to the Mughal empire's power and legacy. You’ll then take a 20 minute private transfer to the hotel for check in and will have time for lunch at your own expense.
